A single focused online source to learn the most important cardiac auscultatory findings.
Essential Cardiac Auscultation is an ideal preparation for using Harvey. It also follows all of the correct educational principles by having 3 sections: learning, repetitive practice and testing of outcomes. Learners are tested on the 12 most important auscultatory findings using videos of Harvey.

What are the equipment specifications to run UMedic ?
- Web server (Windows IIS, Apache or other) capable of delivering standard HTML/CSS/JavaScript pages
- Administrative rights for the web server
- Disk Space will vary based on which programs you install but will be in the range of 2-14 GB
- Learning management system (Blackboard, Moodle, etc.) or other means of limiting access
Is UMedic compatible with my LMS ?
Yes. Being built with HTML, your LMS needs only to provide a link to the program’s location on your institutions server. The Gordon Center provides all the files needed to run UMedic. Your institution can provide access to the programs individually or by linking to the provided menu file. The menu provides access to the individual disease programs. We require UMedic not be publicly available but to have some form of restricted access.
Are there limitations on the use of UMedic ?
The UMedic programs are provided under a site license. We do not limit the number of learners or the amount of time the programs can be used. We require the program to not be publicly available but to have some form of restricted access, usually via your institution’s learning management system or other means.
